ABOUT ABEL KAIN PRODUCTIONS

Through music, novels, animations, and independent films, AKP focuses on stories about outsiders — exploring people, things, and situations that don’t fit the confines of mainstream society.

Background

Most of Abel Kain’s views are shaped by his experience of being a homeless 16-year-old runaway during “the Violent 90’s“. The city streets of New Orleans and surrounding areas were harsh — informing young Abel’s perceptions of life, contemporary society, and humankind until he was nearly 18.

Mission

Abel Kain Productions was conceived as a way to connect with and inspire other outsiders. To explore thoughts, stories, and ideas that are outside the mainstream — that *challenge* the audience with unexpected twists & turns, rather than protect them with glossy predictable outcomes. The goal is not simply to “shock” or make people upset, but to help audiences enjoy thinking critically about the world around us: about the things we don’t understand or don’t typically see. And perhaps even extend that understanding to others in our own day-to-day lives.

Vision For The Future

The ultimate goal at AKP is to provide mature audiences with several unique and entertaining releases a year — across new novels, feature films, shorts, and music. Eventually growing into a production company that can facilitate the funding of several new independent artists’ creations — that might not have found opportunities otherwise given the current system. If you would like to collaborate with AKP as it works toward making this goal a reality, feel free to contact Abel Kain Productions.
